Graduation Information! :D

Harold's graduation date has been set for JULY 2, 2009!
This is a lot sooner than both he and I were expecting. I have received one phone call from him letting me know that he is doing well and that his training hasn't been as bad as he expected it to be. :) For now, we are just counting down the days until we can finally enjoy just being married! Spending the first months of our marriage with about 1200 miles between us has been very exhausting, and I'm ready for him to just come home!!

Also, I wanted to share that when Harold called me, he told me how much he appreciated the letters and cards he has received. Out of the 100 or so men and women in Harold's division, only 2 people (Harold and one other young man) had received mail so far...I am so frustrated by that!! Every one of those young men and women deserve support. They have chosen to give up at least four years of their lives to serve us and our country. The least anyone can do is simply thank them. So I am sending thank you notes with my letters to Harold now, for whomever he may choose to give them to. If anyone else is writing a letter or card to Harold, maybe you could take a little time and write out a little thank you for another of Harold's division. I know it would be appreciated.

:) Thank you for your support of Harold and I. This time would be much more of a burden without our friends and family.

Harold's Address

For those of you who would like to write to Harold (which I really hope you would!!)...

His recruiter called me today and gave me his address:

SR Phythian, Harold
Division 2009236
Ship 11 USS Kearsage 'LHD3'
Great Lakes, IL 60088

Harold gave me a call last night and let me know that that was his last phone call for 3 weeks. The next time I will get a phone call from him will be in June. :( It was really hard to hear that, and I know it was hard for him to say. So if you could, please keep him in your prayers. I know that he needs as much support as he can get.

I really hope that anyone who can would PLEASE send him a letter. I know he would definitely appreciate your thoughts.

Duty Calls...

The time has come...and I'm just not so sure I'm ready. It came up a little too fast!!

But whether I am ready or not, duty calls...

Harold and I are finishing packing up and moving out tomorrow and staying in a hotel. Harold leaves for Salt Lake City on Wednesday with his recruiter, A.J.. He'll be sent off to Chicago on Thursday, and then the official countdown until his return begins. I'm ready for this to be over!!

For those of you who would like to write Harold (which I hope you will! :D) I will have that information when Harold calls me, once he lands in Chicago. I'll post that on here, Facebook, and Myspace.

My phone number is (208) 406-2394. Feel free to call me for any further information. :)

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!!

Mother's Day <3

I know it's a little early, but I'm really looking forward to Mother's Day this year. :)

Especially since I get to celebrate with my sister as she is making her way into the next phase of her life bringing a new niece or nephew into the world :D Anyway, I just wanted to share the quilts I made for my Mom and Kelly for Mother's Day. :D (I'm probably a little too excited...but the hand stitching took a little while so I'm very glad that thy are done! :P)

This one is for my Mom. It sort of looks bigger than it is. 5' by 4'. :)

The little one is for the new baby :D I know it looks a little 'boyish' but I promise there is some pink on there! :P

This is another one I'm ALMOST done with...it's sort of in pieces right now...but it will be finished soon. Another baby blanket, just a little bigger. :)
(and a little more girly...)

Moving Day!!

Well, May is here! Which means the showers are gone, the flowers are here, and moving day has arrived...

We would like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers as Harold begins basic training on May 7th and I move back to Boise for the summer. :( Hopefully it goes by quickly for both of us!

Hobbs :]

Today Harold and I took a stroll in old town Pocatello. A really beautiful day for a walk! :) Anyway, after wandering around aimlessly for a little while, we made our way down Garfield Street where we soon met our newest little family member: Hobbs (he once was lost, but now he is found!)

Hobbs is our new orange kitty with just as much A.D.D. as Harley. (A match made in heaven! :D)
Hopefully Hobbs will be able to keep up with his big sister! :P

Harley's Beginning

Way back when Harley was Hank... :P

Once upon a time, Harold and I went to Wal-Mart. We went in for paper plates and left with Harley...and puppy chow...and a collar...and a bunch of chew toys... :)

Harold asked for the boy...the biggest, fattest, little chunk snuggling at the very bottom of the box...smothered by all of "his" 8 sisters. 1 boy & 8 girls...supposedly. We chose Hank for the puppies name. It took almost and entire month for us to realize that our little boy dog was really a girl dog with a gigantic belly button...talk about embarrassing! :P

At first we argued a little over whether it was a boy or a girl. So we chose to call her Tank until we decided (because from the time she was tiny she LOVED tackling anything...or at least attempting to)

When I finally convinced Harold that "he" was a "she",
we finally chose Harley as her name. :)

Ok, so here are some MORE wedding photos. :)
I'm sure most of the posts we will have on here will be wedding related.
